The reason is pretty simple: vinyl and cds are expensive and we can’t afford them. So we talked to a bunch of labels and while most of them seemed to be very kind and interested in this record we usually got the same answer: “We would love to do it but can’t afford to spend money on a band no one knows. People don’t buy music anymore. We’re deeply sorry! Good luck anyway!” We can totally understand that by the way but it was still a bit depressing to say the least. So we started discussing and arguing about what to do and decided to release it anyway. Again, the reason is simple:

We are proud of this album. We’ve been working on it for the last three or four years. Our friend Jochen Stummbillig spent months recording and mixing it for free (and can’t be thanked enough by the way). Jan and Christoph designed an artwork that reflects the vibe of both the music and the lyrics in the best possible way. We had a bunch of amazing people who visited us in the studio and helped to get this baby born. And now we want you to hear it. We want you to listen to those songs and tell us what you like or hate about them. We want you to let us know that our first album was much better and that we’re are nothing but a big letdown.

So please give this album a try and tell everyone to download it. If you can afford it and think it’s worth it, pay us some Euros for it, too. It would be dearly appreciated and the money will most likely be spent on gas, strings and drumheads. That’s about that. We will upload two or three more songs and a video before the album comes out, release two split-singles with Stand Fast and Dead Koys within the next months, have a new shirt design by the end of May and hopefully play a show in a city near you. we just played our last show in 2011 and will slow down a bit now, at least for the rest of this year. It’s been a good year overall with lots of amazing episodes and some shitty ones. We did a tour and enjoyed it a lot. We released our first new record since 2008 and some people seemed to enjoy it a lot. We got bandtattoos and our parents seemed to enjoy that…not. We met some amazing bands and people that we wouldn’t want to miss. Ok, this totally reads like we’re breaking up so instead I will talk about our future plans now:  we’ll release an album that we love. We’ll tour a lot, publish our first music video ever and keep on being awesome. Hope you’ll join us.
